You can draw your work from scratch, or you can load one of the several backgrounds and add your brushstrokes and any element you want. The rich collection of stencils and stamps available in NextColour lets you compose your scene with bright elements, that you can paint as you like. The start sets include animals, plants, decorations, letters and "season's" elements. And much more will be available in the future.

So, choose a colour from the pastels, decide a brush from the many available, set the thickness and the opacity or transparency of your brushstroke, and unleash your creativity with the power of NextColour. You can save your work,  print it via AirPrint, even share it with a friend using a Bluetooth connection. And you can of course send it to anyone via email without leaving NextColour.

Everyone loves stamps and stencils. So we've included several rich sets of them since the first release of NextColour. If you have to draw a scene with savage animals, or a garden with gracious plants, or a card for season wishes, or an abstract decoration, or even a birthday card, you'll find all what you need among the many many stencils and stamps of NextColour.

So, you can choose the ones you like, place them, enlarge or reduce their dimension, lock them in place, fill them with colours and paint them with as many nuances as you can do, and voilà your creations come to life.

And if the time is not enough to finish the work, NextColour will remember the sketch for you, and the next time you'll launch the app it will ask you if you want to continue your last work, so you can add elements and finish the job of painting and fine tuning everything.

All the choices and tools of NextColour are hosted in the left and right side panels. And when you need all the possible room for your drawing, you can hide them by simply touching the handle of each one.

Only two thin wooden frames will then remain visible on the left and right borders of the screen. In the left one you'll find the tool to lock and unlock elements and the trashcan icon to clear your canvas, while in the right one you'll find two vertical metal sliders that let you quickly set the thickness and the opacity or transparency of any brushstroke.

Depending on what tool you have selected from the left panel, in the right one you can scroll among the wide range of colours, brushes, stencils, stamps, backgrounds, papers, photos and saved images and works.

The many brushes of NextColour basic set, with different strokes and edges each one, can be enlarged and narrowed as you like by the use of a dedicated slider on the right panel. And you can also set their overlay transparency level to mix their colour with the underlying ones.

This way you can reproduce any colour nuance you need, with any thickness of stroke, thus being able to apply sophisticated effects in a very quick way to give a personal touch to your drawing.

The ready to use flat colours that you can select by simply tapping each of the coloured pastels, however, give you a sufficiently rich colour set to paint most of the drawings that you can create. So you have the freedom to create your little masterpieces in a breeze.

NextColour has a complete range of utility tools.

A dedicated panel can slide in from the left frame, stopping at the bottom of the drawing area.

There you can choose to send your drawing via email, to save it, to print it via AirPrint technology directly from your iPad, or you can even decide to open a bluetooth session where you can share a canvas with a friend and draw together on the same document.

So, no risk to remain alone with a misunderstood masterpiece only on your iPad...
